Our Mission

Informed Athlete University™ is a Membership Learning Resource Center that provides assistance to high school and college student-athletes and their parents via access to the most current NCAA Recruiting Calendars, a Q&A Center where commonly asked questions and answers can be reviewed and researched, and individual questions can be submitted via a webform and answered by Rick within 24 hours.

The launch of Informed Athlete University™ is an extension of our mission to make a difference and lessen the stress in the lives of student-athletes and their parents by providing information, guidance, and resources so they can make informed decisions that will provide the best opportunity for a positive outcome, both academically and athletically.

Our focus is on NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA rules related to athletic recruiting issues, academic and athletic scholarships, athletic eligibility issues, and college athletic transfers including 2-4, 4-2-4, and 4-4-4.

Rick was one of the first full-time compliance directors in the country.  Because of his many years of hands-on experience working with and interpreting the NCAA rules, he has a thorough understanding of how they work, how they are implemented, and how they overlap.  He explains the rules in a way that helps parents and athletes thoroughly understand what the rules mean and how they apply to their unique situation.
